Huge water park in Germany
Tropical Island is a huge water park close to Berlin, just three hours from Rostock.
The water park is a true paradise for the whole family. Swim in the delicious swimming pools with azure blue water, whizz down the fun water slides, walk among the green palms, or relax in one of the countless sun loungers. In the large outdoor area, you can also jump into pools, climb on climbing walls, and visit waterfalls - if you're not just in the mood to laze around and enjoy the sun's rays.
The water park is one of Germany's largest. Tropical Island was built in a former airship hangar, which is 360 meters long, 210 meters wide, and 107 meters high. That means it could accommodate the Statue of Liberty in height and the Eiffel Tower lengthwise!

Huge outdoor area
The water park near Berlin boasts an impressive outdoor area - Amazonia - featuring pools, slides, and climbing walls among others. Here, you can relax and soak up the sun or explore the site's many geysers, waterfalls, rivers, and water sports activities for both water lovers and thrill-seekers.
For example, Amazonia boasts the Whitewater River, which is 250 meters long and endlessly fun. If you're more into relaxation than action, there's also a so-called Lazy River.
4,000 square meters tropical water park in Germany
If you'd rather cozy up indoors, you can frolic in the Tropical Sea. At 4,000 square meters, it's as large as four Olympic swimming pools. Here, you can swim, play, and splash in the water or relax in sun loungers on the long sandy beach. You'll also find a warm Bali lagoon where you can properly heat up – the water here is a warm 32 degrees Celsius.
World's largest indoor rainforest
That's right – Tropical Islands has an indoor rainforest. And it's the largest in the world. Around 20,000 trees, shrubs, and ground plants form the tropical vegetation in the hall, with trees reaching up to 18 meters high. So, take a walk in the rainforest and enjoy the sight of beautiful orchids, lianas, and mangrove swamps.
You can also meet some of the rainforest's many exciting animals – for example, turtles, flamingos, macaws, parrots, and colorful fish!
Entertainment all day - and evening
Although the sandy beach and warm water invite hours of relaxation, there's also plenty of fun entertainment for the whole family at Tropical Islands Berlin. For example, you can try the highest water slide tower in Germany – if you dare! In the large children's world, there's entertainment that will thrill the kids, and in the evening, the islands transform into an exotic show stage.
The tropical village, built in the original architectural styles from Thailand, Borneo, Bali, and Samoa, offers culinary experiences at various restaurants and forms the exotic backdrop for the daily show program.
