Check-in times

You must check in at the port no later than 15 minutes before scheduled departure.

In Rostock, however, buses, cyclists and foot passengers must check in at least 30 minutes before the ferry’s scheduled departure time.

 

Follow the signs to the right lane in the harbour

The signs in the harbour will guide you to your check-in lane. Which lane you should drive to depends on your vehicle and the length of your vehicle.

  • Use the blue lane if you have already booked a ticket online or want to buy it from the machine in the port. Only for vehicles with a total length of up to 6 meters. If your car is longer than 6 meters, choose the yellow lane.

    Do you need to buy a ticket at the port?

    You can buy a Standard (Economy Extra) or Flex ticket using the following payment methods:

    • Payment cards (VISA, American Express, Eurocard, Mastercard and Dankort)
    • Bizz/Easy-Go

    Go to the yellow lane to pay cash.

    Vouchers for pre-ordered meals and boarding cards for shopping are automatically printed out.

  • Use the yellow lane in the port if you would like one of our employees to help you check-in or buy tickets. Here you can book tickets in our basic tariffs and combination tickets for the crossing to Sweden with the ForSea ferry line or over the Öresund Bridge.

    When checking in with the following types of vehicles, select the yellow lane:

    • Cars under 6 meters in length and with cash payment
    • Cars over 6 meters in length
    • Trailer
    • Caravan
    • Camper
    • Motorcycle

    The yellow lane is a manually operated check-in by the staff.

    Do you need to buy a ticket at the port?
    If you have not bought a ticket online, you can of course buy a ticket in the port.

    Payment options:

    • Cash
    • Payment cards (VISA, American Express, Eurocard, Mastercard and Dankort)

    When buying tickets in the port at the manned check-in lane, there is a non-refundable fee of 13 €,-.

    Vouchers for pre-ordered meals and boarding cards for shopping are automatically printed out.

  • The bicycle ticket is an additional ticket to the landing ticket, which you can only buy at the port.

    • Buy a bicycle ticket via the ticket machine at the gangway building.
    • Board via the ferry's car deck, following directions from staff.
    • Follow the blue line from the gangway building to the bicycle parking area.

    Buy a bike ticket and check in in Rostock

    • Buy the bike ticket in the manned Yellow lane for cars.
    • Boarding takes place via the ferry's car deck according to the staff's instructions.

    Buy a bike ticket and check in in Puttgarden and Rødby

    • Buy the bike ticket and check in at the manned Yellow lane for cars.
