Terms and Conditions for MyScandlines

Introduction

Scandlines Danmark ApS, Scandlines Gedser – Rostock ApS, Scandlines Catering ApS, Scandlines Deutschland GmbH (collectively referred to as "Scandlines", "we", "us" or "our") operate MyScandlines, a self-service solution available via our website and mobile application (collectively referred to as "MyScandlines").

By accepting these Terms and Conditions upon your first login to MyScandlines, you agree to be bound by them. Please read them carefully before using MyScandlines.

MyScandlines 

MyScandlines allows you to manage your personal profile and view your bookings with Scandlines. The following features are available to you:

Account

Bookings

Please note that MyScandlines does not support direct editing of bookings or processing of payments.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials (username and password) secure and confidential. You must notify Scandlines immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised access to or use of your account.

When you create or maintain a MyScandlines profile, you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate and up to date.

If you wish to delete your account, please contact Scandlines' customer service at servicecenter.germany@scandlines.com. 

Bookings

Via MyScandlines, you can view your existing bookings and download your tickets.

If you wish to cancel a booking, you may submit a cancellation request through MyScandlines. Please note that the submission of a cancellation request through MyScandlines does not automatically cancel your booking. Your request will be forwarded to Scandlines' customer service team, who will process it in accordance with the applicable booking and cancellation conditions. Cancellation requests are therefore subject to the general booking conditions of Scandlines.

Marketing communications

Through MyScandlines, you can manage your marketing communication preferences by opting in to or opting out of receiving newsletters and other marketing materials from Scandlines.

If you choose to opt in, Scandlines will process your personal data in order to send you marketing communications in accordance with Scandlines' Privacy Policy.

Personal data

Your use of MyScandlines involves the processing of your personal data by Scandlines. For full information on how Scandlines processes your personal data in connection with your use of MyScandlines, including your rights as a data subject, please refer to Scandlines' Privacy Policy, which is always available at https://www.scandlines.com/terms/data-protection/. 

Amendments

Scandlines reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through MyScandlines or by email to the address registered on your profile. Your continued use of MyScandlines following such notification will constitute your acceptance of the updated Terms and Conditions.

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with German law. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hamburg.

Liability

Scandlines strives to ensure that MyScandlines is available and functions correctly at all times. However, MyScandlines is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, and Scandlines does not warrant that MyScandlines will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Scandlines shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, MyScandlines.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation. 

Where Scandlines' liability is not otherwise excluded or limited under these Terms and Conditions, Scandlines' aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with your use of MyScandlines shall not exceed Eur 65 (or the equivalent in the currency of the transaction). This cap does not apply to the extent it would be unlawful or unenforceable under applicable consumer protection law.
